After dropping their last two games, the Phenoms got back on track with a 3-0 shutout victory over the 1951 New York Yankees. Pete Alexander earned his third whitewash of the tour.
The offense consisted of two home runs: a solo blast, by Cal Ripken, in the seventh inning and a two-run clout by Eddie Murphy, in the top of the ninth.
Alex scattered five hits, struck out six and walked two. He also hit one batter.
