The Phenoms scored two runs in the top of the first off Bob Feller, then held off the 1951 Cleveland Indians, who scored just one run in the fourth, for a 2-1 win. The Indians stranded four runners at third base in this game. Pete Alexander went seven innings, allowing just the one run, on five hits. He struck out four and walked three. Orlando Cepeda led the Phenoms offense with three hits, including a triple and a double.
