1956 PHASE PREVIEW
There are three geographical shifts in this phase. The Braves have left Boston and have relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they will be known as the Milwaukee Braves. The Phenoms will play the Milwaukee Braves right after the Detroit Tigers. The Browns have left St. Louis and are now in Baltimore, where the team will be called the Baltimore Orioles. The Phenoms will play the Orioles right after facing the Washington Senators. Finally, the Athletics are no longer in Philadelphia and have moved on to Kansas City, Missouri. They will host the Phenoms on the final leg of the 1956 tour.
As the Phenoms’ Frank Robinson was a rookie for the 1956 Baltimore Orioles, he will switch teams and play for the O’s, when the two teams meet.
This leg of the tour kicks off against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
