Pete Alexander joins Kerry Wood and Jose Fernandez in the fourteen-win club, as the Phenoms defeated the ’56 Cleveland Indians, for their fourth straight win, in the 1956 phase.
Cleveland starter, Herb Score was knocked out early, leaving after just three innings and trailing, 5-0. Eddie Murray and Cal Ripken both homered for the barnstormers. It was Ripken’s first circuit clout in twenty games. Despite that, he is still second on the team, trailing only Frank Robinson.
