Cal Ripken hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning, but that was trumped by Larry Doby’s, three run clout, in the bottom of the fifth. The 1956 White Sox would go on to defeat the Phenoms, 5-1.

Kerry Wood has come back down to Earth, after an incredible start to the tour. He has dropped four of his last six decisions. In this game, he was tagged for five runs in just six innings. He allowed seven hits. He struck out seven, but also gave up three walks and hit a batter.
