Billy O’Dell earned a complete game win, and three Oriole hitters had three hits each, as Baltimore defeated the Phenoms, 6-3. Jim Marshall was a home run short of hitting for the cycle, while Billy Gardner had a triple, and two singles and Bob Boyd had three singles. Bob Niemann had a home run and Cal Ripken hit his 26th in the loss.
