McLain bounced back in a big way after his last loss. He pitched a four-hit shutout, to defeat the Minnesota Twins, 4-0, at home. It was Denny’s fourth whitewash of the 1968 campaign and his sixth complete game. Reserve catcher, Jim Price and Dick McAuliffe helped out by clubbing home runs.
