This was a very odd game. Detroit won, 4-0, with McLain registering his thirteenth win, yet he only went six innings and was in trouble in each one. Three times the Twins had a runner on third and could not cash in. McMahon and Warden finished the last three innings out of the bullpen. Good time for the win as Denny certainly didn’t want to drop three in a row.
