It’s literally been the tale of two halves for Denny McLain. His record on June 30th, was 12-5. Since then, he has won only two more games and lost four more, with five no decisions. All the losses have been close, and McLain’s ERA is just 2.16, but he has had minimal run support in the second half. His last win was on July 16th, better than a month ago. The Indians beat the Tigers again, this time by a score of 5-4.
