In real life, Bob Gibson was in the midst of pitching five consecutive shutouts. In my replay, he now has four total for the year, thanks to some bottom of the ninth heroics. With two out and the game scoreless, Bobby Tolan drew a walk off of Fergie Jenkins. He then promptly stole second base. Roger Maris pinch hit for Mike Shannon and popped out to the catcher. That brought up Julian Javier, who singled sharply to right field, for the game winning hit.
