Replay: 9IP, 1R, 3H, 7K, 1BB, 1HR. W-(14-4)

After dropping his last start, Steve Carlton bounced back with a three hit, complete game win over the San Diego Padres, with a 3-2 victory. A solo home run by Nate Colbert was the only thing preventing a shutout. Early on in the replay, Lefty had a big lead as far as wins against what he was doing in real life. However, he is now catching up pretty quickly. It was a marathon effort for Carlton on this day, as he toiled a full eleven innings to earn his fourteenth win in real life.
