Atlanta 4 Philadelphia 2

WP- Phil Niekro LP- Steve Carlton (15-7)

HR- Bill Robinson

Real Life: 11IP, 2R, 7H, 10K, 3BB. L-(20-7)

Replay: 7IP, 4R, 9H, 5K, 3BB. L-(15-7)

Bill Robinson hit a two-run home run, in the bottom of the second, giving the Phillies an early, 2-0 lead. That was all they would get, however and Carlton couldn’t hold the Braves down. He gave up two runs in the third and two more in the sixth, as his struggles continue.

The four column has been popping up a lot on Lefty’s card and it is by far, his worst column. He is now tied for an equal number of losses with his real-life efforts (7) and has five less wins in the replay. The way things are going, it might be a struggle to win 20 games.
