Dizzy Dean got the Cardinals out to a 5-0 lead, before the Pirates woke up in the sixth. St. Louis belted three home runs and Dean was working on a shutout until Paul Waner and Pie Traynor hit back-to-back doubles, in the top of the sixth. Nice to kick off the replay with a win.
