The Braves came through with a win against the Cincinnati Reds, 4-2, behind Greg Maddux. A two-run homer in the first by Chipper Jones, then a solo blast by Charlie O’Brien, in the seventh, were the big hits for Atlanta. Maddux had particular trouble with Barry Larkin, in this game. Barry was a perfect 4-4, with three doubles and a single. Surprisingly, though, he was left on base every time.
