Maddux left the mound after six innings, with a 4 to 1 lead, more for a break than anything else. He has rattled off six straight complete games and though he says he’s fine, he’s due for some active rest. Dave Justice had a home run and Brian Kowitz, who took over for an injured Marquis Grissom, in the first inning, had a pair of doubles, to pace the offense.
