Dazzy earned his second shutout of the season, by blanking the Boston Braves, in Boston, 2-0. Brooklyn got a run in the first inning, when Bernie Neis singled to begin the game. He was sacrificed to second, later scoring on a Jack Fournier double.

Run number two came in the eighth and was set up by a Johnny Cooney two-base error. Jimmy Johnston drove in Neis, who had reached on the miscue, to give the Robins the two run lead.
