In real life on this date, Dazzy Vance pitched and won a thirteen-inning marathon. He pitched much less in my replay, working only six innings, but left the game leading, 7-2. In the end, the Robins won, 9-2, remaining undefeated in Vance’s six starts. Zack Wheat had a home run and a double, while Tommy Griffith had a double and three singles, to lead the offense for Brooklyn.
