Dazzy Vance had won his last five starts, but that streak would end with a 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was a poor outing for the Robins’ ace. He went just six and two third innings, allowing four runs on seven hits. He had but one strikeout while issuing five walks. The Pirates did most of their damage with a three run seventh inning.
