Bill Foster won a pitcher’s duel with Washington’s Dutch Leonard, tossing his second shutout of the year, in a 1-0 win. The victory completes Philadelphia’s three game sweep of the Senators. The Athletics have put together a five game winning streak.
The team will head back to Shibe Park in Philadelphia to play the St. Louis Browns in a two game series.
