1934 LEG RECAP
The Phenoms baseball team just wrapped up a very successful leg of their tour, going 13-3, for an .813 winning percentage, in the 1934 phase. The teams they lost to were the Yankees, the Tigers and the Cardinals.
Hideo Nomo had three wins in this phase. Frank Robinson belted seven home runs, twice hitting three in consecutive games. Cal Ripken hit five home runs. Nomo and Vean Gregg pitched back-to-back shutouts against the Cubs and Reds, the first time that has been done.
There were three extra-inning games, and the biggest margin of victory was an 11-2 win over the Cleveland Indians.
