Joe Jackson, Andre Dawson and Frank Robinson, the first three batters in the Phenoms lineup, handled the stick work today, in a 7-2 win over the 1949 Cleveland Indians.
Jackson was 3-4, with a walk, scored three runs and stole two bases. Dawson had three hits, including a pair of doubles and Robinson had a home run, two doubles and four runs batted in.
Robinson, perhaps hearing Cal Ripken’s footsteps as the later chases him for the team home run title, belted his 22sd of the tour.
On the mound, Pete Alexander collected his fourth complete game win, improving to 10-2. He allowed just one run on five hits, fanning seven and walking four.
